Livigno

Welcome to the home of snowboarding and freestyle, where magic, energy, and passion soar at high altitude

Surrounded by high peaks, Livigno is a beautiful place located at 1,816m above sea level in the Rhaetian Alps near the Swiss border. A gem in Upper Valtellina, it welcomes thousands of visitors year-round with its traditional hospitality and is a popular tourist destination for mountain lovers and high-altitude sports enthusiasts.

More than 100km of ski slopes (from 1,800 to 2,900m in altitude) can generally be enjoyed from November to May. Livigno is also popular with freeskiers and snowboarders thanks to its many snow parks. With abundant adrenaline, hospitality and beauty, it was named a European Municipality of Sport in 2019 and it will host the snowboard and freestyle competitions at the Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026.

Twenty-four medals in the most popular disciplines among young people will be awarded in Livigno, which has always been an ideal training location for top athletes due to its high altitude and modern sports facilities.

For "Italy’s Little Tibet", Milano Cortina 2026 is a dream come true, and a point of pride for the entire Valtellina. This small community is preparing to welcome athletes from around the world in an atmosphere full of Olympic energy and Italian spirit. Already known for its natural beauty and warm hospitality, Livigno is ready to shine in the Olympic spotlight.
