Milano

Welcome to the capital of style and change

Milano is Italy's gateway to Europe and the world, a city where the energy and excitement of a global metropolis merge with Italian lifestyle on a human scale.

Milano never stops; it is constantly renewing itself at great speed. It is a city that changes along with the people who inhabit it. It has an industrial and financial vocation but has become a popular international destination in just a few decades. Every year, every day, people from all over the world come here to study or work, and the city absorbs their traditions and lifestyles while remaining true to itself — always the same, but richer and more multicultural. A new ‘Milanese renaissance’ is touching various sectors, from finance to commerce to culture, supported by a calendar of cultural events (the numerous ‘Weeks’) that shape a narrative combining art, design, innovation and research.

Here, business and leisure, sport and culture are combined as in very few cities in the world. From Teatro alla Scala to Brera, from the Cathedral to San Siro (where the Opening Ceremony will be held on 6 February 2026), Milan has everything in terms of art, food and entertainment to stimulate the senses and the mind. Accustomed to hosting national and international sporting events, with the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026 , it will be consecrated as a city of and for sports.
